Early-stage investment Advisor/SME finance Expert

GDSI works on the preparation of the tender funded by the EIB and entitled  Investment Readiness Assessment web-portal (e-checker tool) for SMEs

 The purpose of this assignment is for the Service Provider to develop, implement and maintain the Investment Readiness Assessment web-portal/platform. The platform will strategically guide companies in addressing key due diligence criteria, to help optimise their business cases for financing, refer to specialist advisors and investors (fund managers and banks) where needed, and ultimately help to increase their chances of securing funding.

To complete the team for this assignment we are looking for an early-stage investment Advisor/SME finance Expert.

The services to be provided are home-based.

Expert profile required:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Banking, Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplines.

Language and other skills

  • Working command of English (CEFR C1)
  • Excellent report-writing skills in English

General professional experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in working in the field of finance and investment and/or associated consultancy.

Specific professional experience:

  • Experience on at least 2 assignments relating to investments in innovative early-stage companies/SMEs, incl. scale-ups (equity, quasi-equity, and debt).
  • Experience on at least 2 assignments demonstrating market consultations of investors, early-stage companies/SMEs and/or other innovation ecosystem actors, data-analysis.
  • Experience in relation to the due diligence of early-stage companies/SMEs, incl. scale-ups across asset classes, will be considered a strong plus.
