GDSI has been awarded a contract by the EU Delegation to Albania to lead a project focused on enhancing communication, awareness, and engagement among communities and the private sector in the circular economy, green growth, regional waste management, and the protection of nature and biodiversity in Albania. 

This important initiative aims to:

Encourage Sustainable Practices through information and communication campaigns promoting proper waste management, recycling, and biodiversity conservation.

Engage the Private Sector with focus groups and events to support green growth and align with EU environmental standards.

Empower Local Communities in regions like Gjirokastër-South Vlora, and Kukës to raise awareness on the new regional waste management systems and drive positive behaviour change linked to them.

Focused campaign and awareness-raising activities to promote the EU support to Albania on environment and climate related issues, and to raise awareness, among the public, about the benefits of aligning to the EU acquis in the environment sector, and support the EU Delegation in promoting and communicating on EU and/or EU funded activities in the environment sector in Albania.
