Assignment Duration
The intended start date for the project is 1 January 2027, and the contract’s implementation period will extend over 36 months from this date.
Location
The primary place of operation will be Europe House in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project activities shall be conducted in the whole territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with additionally trips abroad to EU countries as foreseen.
About the Assignment
A high-profile European Union communication and outreach initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As Project Leader, you will lead the conceptualisation, planning, coordination and implementation of all communication and information activities delivered through the Europe House Network. Working closely with the European Union Delegation, you will oversee visibility campaigns, public information actions, stakeholder engagement activities and strategic communications while ensuring the highest standards of quality control and team management across the project.
Project Description
Funded by the European Union, this initiative supports the operation of the Europe House Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, comprising Europe House Sarajevo and Europe House Information Points across the country. The action aims to strengthen public communication, visibility and outreach related to the European Union and EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations through information campaigns, events, media engagement, digital communication and public awareness activities implemented throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Expert Profile
1.1. Key expert 1 : position name (660 days – t he Key Expert should spend 100% of time input in BiH, unless specifically authorised by the Contracting Authority.)
Qualifications and skills (Minimum requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree (where a degree has been awarded on completion of 3 years of study in a university or equivalent institution), or 3–year of relevant experience above the relevant general professional experience required below;
- Excellent command of English
- Additional desirable asset: working knowledge of any of BiH official languages (Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian)
General professional experience (Minimum requirements)
- Minimum 5 years, preferably 10 years, of relevant professional experience in the field of public relations, communication and information, media and press, policy advocacy or marketing.
Specific professional experience
- Experience in the management of minimum two projects, preferably four, aimed at communication towards public, in the domain of social, policy, government or EU communication (including public awareness or issue/policy advocacy). The project should be completed within the last twelve years from the submission deadline, with each project having a minimum budget of EUR 400,000.
- Experience in the management of a team of at least three members of professional staff of at least one year duration, preferably five years.
