About the Assignment:
This assignment positions you at the core of the EU-Brazil Sectoral Dialogues, aimed at enhancing EU-Brazil bilateral relations in line with the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy. Your involvement will be crucial in shaping dialogues and initiatives across key sectors like green transition, digital transformation, and sustainable economic growth. You will play a pivotal role in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation, contributing to the strategic objectives of both the EU and Brazil. Your work will not only influence the EU-Brazil partnership but also align with broader regional and global connectivity and sustainability goals.
Project Description:
This project aims to foster EU-Brazil bilateral relations, focusing on sectoral dialogues and cooperation initiatives in various priority areas. The efforts will support mutual understanding, regulatory convergence, and the establishment of new cooperation mechanisms.
Expert Profiles:
Key expert 1: Team Leader (660 workdays)
Step into a leadership role as our Team Leader, where your seasoned expertise in policy dialogue, design, and implementation will steer our project toward success. With a background enriched by experience in governmental bodies, the private sector, or consultancy, whether within Brazil or the EU, you’re poised to guide our team with finesse. In this vital facilitation and coordination role, your exceptional organizational, communication, and social skills will shine, driving our team to excel and our projects to thrive. Your experience will be the cornerstone of our project’s success as you lead with insight and inspire with vision.
Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree in International Relations, Political Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, or equivalent.
- Desirable: A postgraduate degree in relevant areas (e.g., International Relations, Political Sciences, Economics, Law) is an asset.
- Knowledge of the EU.
- Excellent communication, networking, organizational, people, and drafting skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese (C1 level) and English (C1 level).
General Professional Experience:
- Required: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the public or private sector.
Specific Professional Experience:
- Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in public policy dialogue (design, implementation, or support) as a national or international civil servant, consultant, or equivalent.
- Required: Minimum 3 years of work experience in Brazil.
Key expert 2: Junior Expert (600 workdays)
Join our dynamic team as a Junior Expert, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Team Leader to bring our project to life! Your contributions will be key in crafting the Terms of Reference for assignments, orchestrating project logistics, and ensuring seamless communication. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, overseeing both the administrative and financial aspects of the project, among other critical tasks. Your work will ensure our project runs smoothly and efficiently, making a significant impact on our success.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Required: University degree in International Relations, Political Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, or equivalent.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the EU.
